As in the previous Africa Competitiveness Report, this year’s Report features 38 African economies that were covered by the GCR 2014–2015. The sample has changed slightly from the last report: two countries—Angola and Tunisia—were re-instated in the GCI, and two previously covered countries—Benin and Liberia—were not included in 2014–2015 because sufficient Executive Opinion Survey data could not be collected. For the sake of completeness, their competitiveness profiles are presented using 2013–2014 data, marked by an asterisk in Part 3.¹⁸
